July 18th is JANET CORLEY DAY at Sea Star Swim School!

Janet Corley is Everywoman. She's a devoted mom. A loving wife. A dedicated daughter and sister. An amazing swim teacher. A great friend. She's also a two time breast cancer survivor, and one tough gal! That's why we're closing our doors at Sea Star on July 18th, taking the day off and flying to Chicago to Swim Across America in her honor!

You all know someone whose life has been affected by cancer—a relative, a friend, a friend of a friend, or perhaps you received your own diagnosis. If you know Janet, you know she never lets cancer get in the way of enjoying life. At MTSC Masters and Sea Star Swim School, we’re in it to win it for Janet and all our other friends and family members who have been affected by this disease.

This event supports the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center in Chicago, Illinois. We hope our contributions to Swim Across America and its mission will in some way help to put an end to this horrific disease and honor those who have and are struggling with its devastation.

As a Team, we are looking forward to the swim as a day of thanks for our own health, a day of honoring teamwork as a example of strength, and a day to honor the larger mission of Swim Across America. Each swimmer must raise $300 worth of donations in order to participate in the swim--so please donate generously so all of us can swim!

As always, at MTSC Masters, we put the fun in fundraising, so be sure and check our lobby and Pro Shop for different fundraisers during the month. Or buy a T-shirt for $15--profits go to our team's fundraising efforts.
