Why You Should Support Us
On July 17, 2009 Team Caring for Carcinoid (Team CFCF) will enter a relay team that will swim a 22 mile loop from Rowes Wharf in downtown Boston to the Boston Harbor Islands and then finish back at Rowes Wharf.
You may ask what reason anyone would have for swimming 22 miles in the Boston Harbor and the answer to that question is simple: to help find a cure for cancer.
The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation (CFCF) is the only non-for-profit cancer foundation that dedicates 100% of all individual donations to breakthrough scientific research for a cure for carcinoid cancer. This unique foundation was started less than four years ago and already they have donated over 4.5 million dollars to cutting-edge cancer research.
This year, Team CFCF enters Swim Across America in order to continue to reach for its goal and find a cure for carcinoid cancer.

About Swim Across America
Swim Across America, Inc., [SAA] is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming- related events. With the help of hundreds of volunteers nationwide and past and current Olympians, SAA is helping find a cure for cancer through athleticism, community outreach and direct service. Since its inception in 1987, SAA has raised over $20 million nationally for recognized beneficiaries. The beneficiaries we support are closely tied to the communities that are currently hosting events - New York, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago. We welcome your contributions and thank you for joining us in this fight.
