Welcome to Swim Across America's Long Island Sound Events: The Long Island Sound open water swim, and Long Island Pool Swims. Long Island Sound events are the most sucessful in SAA history! Every year hundreds of swimmers, dozens of volunteers and thousands of donors grow this event to reach unimaginable success. The Long Island Sound (LIS) events have their own unique personality with the Long Island Sound open water swim as the celebrity.
Thank you to everyone who supported Swim Across America's Long Island Sound events this year! Because of those efforts, whether as a Sound swimmer, a pool swimmer, boater, kayaker, land volunteer and/or donor, we are close to meeting our goal of $1,010,000 for 2010. From our humble beginnings 18 years ago, this year we also reached the $10,000,000 mark. This milestone is truly remarkable and we applaud all of you in raising money and awareness through Swim Across America for cancer research, prevention and treatment.
