Help Us Support Breakthrough Cancer Research Being Undertaken In Our Community Your swim team can join other swim teams across the country to raise money to fund breakthrough cancer research programs. Swim a total of 3,000 miles – the distance across America - with your team. Get family, friends and local businesses to sponsor you or your team. Donors can sponsor individual swimmers’ mileage targets OR they can sponsor your entire team to swim 3,000 miles. It’s easy. Everything you need to manage your team’s swim is provided in the Swim Across America Swim in a Box, available when registration opens.
Teams in pools, lakes, ponds, sounds, and bays across America will join you in achieving this goal and in raising money to fund cancer research in their communities. Here in San Francisco, all local swim proceeds will fund the breakthrough Survivors of Children’s Cancer program at UCSF Childrens Hospital and the innovative cancer research programs being undertaken at Children’s Hospital Oakland.
