                      Rhode Island Swim

September 11th, 2010


       

     

Welcome to our first ever Open-Water swim in Rhode Island. The fundraising swim will include swimmers of all ages and skill levels and benefit cancer research, prevention and treatment at Women and Infants Hospital.

Join our 1/2 mile or 1 mile open water swim in the beautiful Narragansett Bay at Roger Wheeler Park. Click here for a map of the course.

Swim Across America is proud to announce that Olympian Rowdy Gaines will be swimming at the inaugural Rhode Island Event!

Nantasket and Rhode Island Combination Fundraiser

 Sign up for Swim Across America's Nantasket Beach event or the inaugural Rhode Island swim and raise $500 for an added reward.  If you join one of the two swims and raise $500 you'll get an SAA sweatshirt and be eligible to swim in both events! By raising $500 you'll be getting two opportunities to make waves.

The Hampton Inn in South Kingstown is offering Swim Across America Rhode Island participants rooms at a discounted rate as long as they continue to have availability.  For reservations call 401-788-3500 and mention Swim Across America Rhode Island.


 

Newport Athletic Club

From now until Labor Day, the Newport Athletic Club will be allowing people to use the pool for free! If you live or work on Aquidneck Island, all you need to do is print the email you get saying you have registered for the Inaugural Rhode Island Swim and bring it with you and you can swim for free. For more details or to find out what the best times are for swimming at the Newport Athletic Club please email info@swimacrossamerica.org
