Dear SAA—Charlotte Participants, Volunteers and Supporters,
This Saturday’s swim is cancelled and rescheduled for September 29th. After many discussions with our safety personnel and the Lake Norman Family YMCA, our host for the charity swim, we collectively agree that rescheduling offers a safer environment than swimming this Saturday.
Important information:
- All SAA—Charlotte participants remain registered for the September 29th event
- Registration for SAA—Charlotte will remain open.
- We have adjusted the schedule for the 29th to begin an hour earlier. Please go to swimacrossamerica.org/charlotte for complete information
We know the 29th may conflict with some of you. You’ve trained. You’ve fundraised. And you want to swim in open water. We understand. If the 29th doesn’t work for you, we invite you to come to our October 6th SAA charity swim in Richmond. SAA is waiving the registration fee and fundraising requirement for anyone from SAA—Charlotte who would like to participate. This is the information link for SAA—Richmond. Please contact info@swimacrossamerica.org for a registration code that will allow you to complimentary register for SAA—Richmond.
Please do know, all funds SAA—Charlotte participants have donated and raised will continue to support the cancer research programs at our beneficiary Levine Cancer Institute.
