Kerry Anderson – former Executive Director of Swim
Across America is currently a full time mom. Kerry has been associated
with SAA for the past 15 years. She stays actively involved with the
coordination of the Long Island Sound Swim as well as Co-Chairs the
Greenwich, CT Swim. Kerry is committed to finding a cure for cancer
since her Mom lost her battle with the devastating disease in 1999. An
avid runner, Kerry has run numerous marathons to benefit cancer research
at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Kerry and her husband Karl
reside in Riverside, CT with their two young sons. |

Robert "Bob" Coakley currently serves as chairman of COED Media Group, LLC; In previous years, Bob was the Chairman of Win Futures Inc, a commodity-trading firm on the New York Mercantile Exchange where he also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the New York Mercantile Exchange. A graduate of Fordham University, Bob received his bachelors in accounting and finance, he was also a 4 year letterman on both the Swimming Team and Waterpolo Team. He currently resides with his wife Lisa in Florida with his 2 fur children Karma & Duke. We're proud to say that Bob has been involved with Swim Across America for 23 years, having been the founder the Hudson River event. He currently serves as Treasurer for SAA for over the past 15 years.

Hugh R. Curran is a Partner at Bletzer & Bletzer, PC where he practices in Connecticut and Massachusetts State and Federal Courts in civil and criminal litigation. Prior to joining Bletzer & Bletzer, PC in 2008, Hugh was a Partner at Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata where he counseled clients and defended matters involving insurance defense, general and products liability, professional malpractice, civil rights, employment, white collar criminal and business litigation matters. From 1988 through 1996 Hugh had a successful career as an Assistant District Attorney in the office of the Suffolk County District Attorney. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Hugh received his Bachelor of Arts. He went on to receive the degree of Juris Doctor from Suffolk University. Hugh currently serves as chairman of the Swim Across America Board of Directors and has been involved since its inception in 1987.

Bill Hicks is a Divisional Vice President at The Hartford where he leads the Northeast sales team in Retirement Plans Group. He is based in Atlanta, GA where he brings over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and customer service to The Hartford. He has had experience in multiple industries, individual sales production and business development roles and over the last 15 years business and sales management leadership roles. Prior to The Hartford, Bill was President of Franklin Consulting Group, and Divisional Vice President of John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. He is a graduate from the University of Denver and has an MBA from Emory's Giozueta Business School. Bill has been involved with Swim Across America, Boston for many years and has been a member of the Board of Directors in recent years.

Scot Mackie is the Founder and Managing Partner of THINK
Partners. THINK Partners is an
outsourced marketing organization dedicated to raising funds for asset
managers. Prior to founding THINK
Partners, Scot was a Managing Director and Head of Asian sales at Morgan
Stanley and Macquarie Securities. Scot
was also a Senior Vice President in sales and trading for WI Carr, a premier
Hong Kong based broker/dealer. Scot
started his professional career at IBM Corporation as a Vice President and
Marketing Representative. Scot holds
professional licenses with FINRA and the SEC including the series 7, 63, 9 and
10. Scot is a proud member of the Swim
Across American community where he has led Team Norm in the Larchmont Swim for
8 years. Scot joined the board of Swim
Across America in 2008. Scot is married
with 6 children and active in youth sports, coaching lacrosse and
football. Scot graduated from Fairfield
University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

Brenda Nagle
joined Merrill Lynch in November of 2007 from Smith Barney. She has
been a financial advisor since 1999. Brenda's focus is primarily
working with non profit organizations assisting them with cash
management, investments, and retirement plans. In working with the
organizations, Brenda has gained much knowledge and insight into Board
Operations and best practices with additional studies leading to the
Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation this summer. She
additionally has individual clients who are primarily involved with non
profit organizations. She currently serves as the Secretary on the SAA
Executive Committee. Prior to her career as a Financial Advisor, Brenda
was a Registered Nurse. |

Jack Salerno joined EMC in 2003 and has held marketing
management positions in Channel Marketing, Commercial Marketing and
CLARiiON Product Marketing organizations. Prior to joining EMC, he was
Vice President of Business Development and Product Management for
TidalWire, a value added storage networking distributor and Senior
Director Channel Sales and Business Development with StorageNetworks, a
software company based in Waltham, MA.
Previously he worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble and
sales management with IBM Corporation. He is a graduate of Boston
College and received his MBA from the Johnson School of Management at
Cornell University |

Kevin Shine is an executive at a leading telecommunications company, responsible for Datacenter Operations and Information Technology support. Kevin has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry, including a decade with IBM as a systems engineer, client manager, and certified consultant. In addition to Swim Across America, Kevin is involved with many local charities, serving on the Board of MercyFirst Children and Family Services in Syosset, NY, and on the executive committee for our Nassau/Suffolk, Long Island, events. Kevin graduated from Boston College in 1984 with a degree in computer science and mathematics and currently resides in Garden City, NY, with his wife Loree and six children: Erinn, Bethany, Cathryne, Brenna, Mackenzie and Meredith. |

Richard Tompkins has been associated with SAA since
2004 serving on the committee of the SAA Long Island Sound events. Rich
is deeply committed to the development of a cure for cancer as he has
experienced first - hand the tragic and devastating effects, as many of
his family have succumbed to this disease. He is curretnly a cancer
survivor, having been diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2008. Rich is
currently a Consultant with Resources Global Professionals supporting
the financial services industry in which he has over 35 years of
experience. He started his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse
& Co., and has held senior financial management and operations
management positions at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Mizuho Bank.
Rich and his wife, Sabina, reside in White Plains, New York. His wife
and three children are all actively involved in the SAA Long Island
Sound swims. |

Evan Vosburgh M.D. is
Executive Director of the Raymond and Beverly Sackler Foundation based in New
York City and Stamford, CT. The private
Foundation funds academic programs broadly in the sciences, as well as operates
a laboratory focused on neuroendocrine cancer biology. He is a board certified
hematologist and medical oncologist who served on the faculty of the Boston
University School of Medicine for 10 years where be combined clinical care,
teaching, administrative oversight of clinical research programs in cancer
clinical trials, hemophilia, and systemic amyloidosis, including autologous
stem cell therapy. In 1997 Evan Vosburgh left Boston to work for Bayer
Pharmaceuticals in the Biologics Division. He later moved to Purdue Pharma as
the Director of Scientific Evaluations where he represented the International
Research and Development group in assisting the Licensing and Business
Development group in establishing and growing a research program, particularly
focusing in the area of cancer therapies. He assumed his current position in
2003. In addition to serving on the SAA Board, Evan also serves on the Board of
the CT Challenge, a non-profit supporting cancer survivorship programs, and
maintains teaching and clinical responsibilities as a Clinical Associate
Professor at the Yale School of Medicine. |

Matt Vossler, co-founder of Swim Across America,
is proud that his fledging enterprise, along with Jeff Keith, has
raised $20+ million and counting. Matt has overseen our charitable
contributions make their way to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
[MSKCC], The Babies and Children’s Hospital of Columbia Presbyterian,
The David Perini Clinic at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The
Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT), and many others. Since 2004
Matt has been a Partner with Heritage Partners International, a retained
executive search and consulting company based in New Haven, CT.
Previously he was associated with a number of other search firms,
including Heidrick & Struggles, Inc. Before entering the field of
executive search, he was President of Home Buyers Assistance Corporation
(HBAC). Matt, who is also a graduate of Boston College, calls Darien,
CT, home, enjoying life there with his wife Pamela and their two
children. |

Burt Zweigenhaft has extensive experience in a broad
spectrum of bio-pharmaceutical services and health care channels -
Wholsale, Retail, Chain, Mail, PBM, Specialty, Infusion, Oncology,
Disease Management, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid and Genomic
Molecular Theragnostic Diagnostics. Today, Burt is the CEO of OncoMed,
The Oncology Pharmacy. Prior to the inception of OncoMed, Burt
functioned as the Managing Partner of BioPharma Partners, LLC. Burt
previously served as Senior V.P. of Managed Care, Government Programs
and Business Development Strategies for Priority Healthcare
Corporation. During his tenure at Priority Healthcare, managed care and
government programs enrollment grew to over 175 contracts covering 145
million lives and servicing 125,000 physicians specialists managing on
average 85,000 patients monthly. Prior to joining Priority Healthcare
in 2002, Burt spent several years serving as a lead specialty pharmacy
consultant. Burt also served as President and CEO of American
Prescription Providers, the nation's largest specialty pharmacy disease
management company focused on HIV/AIDS and organ transplantation
acquired by ChroniMed in 2000. He has also held the senior management
position of V.P. of Managed Care for CVS PharmaCare and was a co-founder
and President of MediRx America. Burt is a member of the AMCP and
ASCO. He also serves on the Editorials Boards of the Oncology
Pharmacist, the Oncology Nurse, Multidisciplinary Oncology and the Value
Based Managed Care Pharmaceutical Care publications. He also serves on
the Executive Board of Swim Across America where
he is responsible for corporate fundraising. Burt holds a BS degree in
Management and Economics from the University of Buffalo, where he also
serves on the Dean's Advisory Committee and is active with their School
of Pharmacy. |
