New York - Nassau/Suffolk

Welcome to the Nassau / Suffolk county, NY homepage for Swim Across America (SAA). Our Group, the Nassau/Suffolk Committee of SAA was founded in 2001 by swimmers like you that wanted to “SWIM TO FIGHT CANCER”.  Since then we have raised over $4.8 Million in support of our Beneficiaries. 

We now offer two Open Water swims to benefit our local beneficiaries. Whether you'll be on the Hamptons for Fourth of July weekend or want to join us in Glen Cove in August, we have something that works for you. Not an Open Water swimmer?  We also offer pool swims all over Nassau/Suffolk county so that you too can "Make Waves to Fight Cancer."

Long Island Sports Challenge

SAA is partnering with the W20 Foundation and their "Team Up 4 Community" program to offer our swimmers ages 8-18 an opportunity to win grants for their participation in events that provide a positive impact in their community.

Club Pool Swims

We also feature many pool swims throughout the summer.  Check back as we get closer to summer 2013 to see a list of them.  In the past we have held swims at Brookville Country Club, Hempstead, Jericho High School, Long Island Aquatic Club, Lynbrook, Plandome, Rockville and Westhampton.
