Bobby Hackett

Bobby Hackett

Bobby Hackett competed in the 1976 Olympics, where he received a silver medal in the 1500 meter freestyle while setting a world record.  Hackett also took home medals and titles at nearly every competition he entered, from the Pan American Games and World Championships, to US National events.  Hackett held the world records in the 800 meter freestyle, the 4x200 meter freestyle relay and the 1500 meter short-course events, plus held numerous American records.  Hackett still holds the top time ever for the 15-16 age bracket in the US for the 1500 meter freestyle, a 30-year old record!  Later, he enrolled Harvard and Harvard Business School.  Bobby grew up in Yonkers, New York.  Currently, Bobby and his family are living in Katonah, New York where he is a Regional Director for Jones Lang LaSalle real estate.
