This group of ladies are all from the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington. This is the third year our school has had a team and I am so excited for this year. Each year, the number of girls increases and the amount of money raised goes up. They amount of fun that we have particpating in fundraisers and in the swim itself is astronomical! For me, this team means a lot more then just raising money for cancer research. It means that this group of high school aged girls want to make a difference in so many people's lives for something that affects so many people. With the statistics of 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women getting diagnosed with cancer being all to real, these girls want to work so the possibility of having cancer or being affected by cancer goes down.
Thank you all for all your support! The money that we raise will go to the Swim Across America lab at Johns Hopkins and we hope that it will be able to make a difference and lead to a cancer-free world.
If you are a member of this team and would like to customize this page with a special message or team photo, please contact us and we can designate you as the team captain.
