Charlotte Open Water Swim

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. We are challenging ourselves by swimming in the Charlotte Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as we can. Please support us by sponsoring our swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!

Most recently, the Volunteer community lost Olympic & Tennessee great Andy Coan to liver cancer. Our current head coach, Matt Kredich & his wife Kim both fought and won their battles with cancer, and we lost coaching great Joe Hendee to cancer in 2011. The fact of the matter is that we've ALL been affected by cancer. We all know a family member, friend or acquaintance who's been impacted or lost their battle to the disease. It's a fight we can all get behind.

We as the Volunteer Community will rise up against the disease September 23rd, for Charlotte's inaugural Swim Across America Open Water Swim to be #wavemakers in ending this horrible disease.

All funds from Charlotte's FIRST event will go to the Levine Cancer Institute's & their very own Dr. Gerber's groundbreaking research on Leukemia.

Ghost in the rafters, we implore you to join our team or consider donating whatever you can afford to help us make waves to find a cure for cancer. Make a stand with us today!

You can make a credit card donation by clicking on one of the members of our team below, or send a check to Swim Across America, 11600 N. Community House Rd., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28277
