We swim. We swim a lot; some of us for recreation, some competitively, all of us because we love it. We are passionate about swimming and helping others.
Imagine our excitement in finding out about an event that has never been done before; a relay swim, across Lake Michigan to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. We can’t contain ourselves. We are inspired. This is an opportunity to combine our passion of swimming with our passion for contributing to a very deserving cause. Please help us help others. Contribute to our effort to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research.
Open Water On Lee Swimmers (OWOLS) is based out of Evanston, IL. All of us swim the coast of Lake Michigan through out the summer (some, a bit grittier, stretch it to spring and fall). If you are inclined and able, please contribute financially on our behalf. We have a Facebook page OWOLS. Please like our page and share the page with your friends. If you have other ways to contribute to our endeavor, please reach out to one of us. This will help TREMENDOUSLY with the awareness aspect of the effort.
Thank you from the deep depths from which we swim. Thank you from the depths of our heart and the hearts of whom we ALL help.
