Year EIGHT for Team Kicking Cancer for Karen, Chris & Friends!! Year 8 & GREAT!
Each June we come together for an early morning of not only swimming for cancer research but reflection and celebration of our family and friends. We are grateful and look forward to supporting Swim Across America every year.
This year we are swimming in celebration of our friends AnnBeth, Jenn and Charlotte who show amazing strength and admirable courage! And JP Kealy - You inspire us! And Scott who has hurdled and beat cancer.
And for Mike Prongay who passed away this year after a five year battle with his cancer.
We celebrate my wife Karen's remission from breast cancer. After 7+ years she is doing great.
We remember Chris and also swim in memory of Coach Kelly, Coach Joan and dear friend Toni who lost their battle with cancer.
TOO MANY TOO SOON have been taken by cancer. We have all been touched by cancer in our lives. It is a horrible disease that with your help we can fund research to find better treatment options, prevention, and a cure.
Thank you for your support. Donate what you can at the link here above. All donations to this most important cause are deeply appreciated.
See you Teammates in the Sound,
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. We are challenging ourselves by swimming in the Greenwich Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as we can. Please support us by sponsoring our swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
Swim Across America, Inc., [SAA] is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming- related events. With the help of hundreds of volunteers nationwide and past and current Olympians, SAA is helping find a cure for cancer through athleticism, community outreach and direct service.
