Pediatric Hematology and Oncology specialists at Columbia University Irving Medical Center combine cutting edge expertise with compassion when caring for every patient. Our goals are not only to provide effective therapies for malignancies and nonmalignant hematologic disorders, but to return children to lives that are normal and as constructive as possible - so they can grow up to be happy and healthy adults.
What sets our program apart is its roots in science, with strong laboratory and translational research initiatives and a robust portfolio of clinical trials, including pivotal early phase studies. We are combining the fruits if these investigations with advances in genomics and molecular biology to identify more precise methods to treat patients. We are also studying new treatment methods using the immune system, called immunotherapies, offering promise for helping to treat many different types of cancer. Our team is studying specific immune cells in and around the tumor microenvironment to determine the best approach in applying immunotherapy to childhood cancers.
We joined the SAA community so that, together, we can raise money to research ways of preventing cancer and finding cures for children and adults.
Please support our fight by making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
