Thank you to everyone who came out for the annual Swim Across America, Sound to Cove swim on August 11th! While the weather didn't cooperate with us this year, we still had a great time at the Nassau County Aquatic Center after the swim was relocated. More importantly, we still raised over $350,000 for cancer research, prevention and treatment at our local beneficiaries! We can't wait to see you all in 2013!

Swimmer Fundraising Minimums
- Kids Swim: No fundraising minimum, $50 registration fee to take part
- 1/2 mile swimmers: $250 minimum
- 1 mile swimmers: $500 minimum for adults, $250 minimum for those under 18
- 5k swimmers: $1,000 minimum
- 10k swimmers: $5,000 minimum
- Family Fun Swim: $100 minimum, $50 for 10 & Unders
Sound to the Cove Volunteers
Boaters provide transportation and logistic support for all of our swimmers and Event Officials. Officials and participants are transported from the Glen Cove Yacht Club Dock to their respective starting points in L.I. Sound. After discharging swimmers our boaters line the perimiter of the swim lane to be available for additional support if needed.
Kayakers provide the first layer of safety for our swimmers. Kayakers patrol the swim lane, keeping an active eye on all our swimmers, and communicate to Event Officials any swimmer issues that may arise, so we can respond immediately.
Morgan Park Volunteers conduct all aspects of our Event in Morgan Park. This begins at 5:00 am, with preparations for registering arriving swimmers, supporting logistics in the Park and at the Finish Line on the beach, through our Brunch and Awards Ceremony.
