You are reciving this email from me because I need your help. My swim team at UCONN has signed up to do an open water swim with this company, Swim Across America. They devote their time to raising money towards cancer research. They hold large events, like the one I will be attending in Rhode Island, and ask each swimmer to raise money for the cause.
Not only am I swimming this for my team but I am also swimming for my family. I have very recently lost my aunt to a long hard battle with breast, spine, and liver cancer. She was an absolutely amazing woman and this is an outstanding way for me to honor her.
I have also recently just found out that my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer. He is getting great treatment and fighting hard.
Every little bit helps the cause. I would greatly appreciate any donations. Information about how to donate is below as well as more info concerning SSA's company goal.
Thank you so much,
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the Rhode Island Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
