I will again be participating in “Swim Across America: Making Waves to Fight Cancer” by swimming in San Francisco Bay, PART OF THE ALCATRAZ SWIM, with my niece Meri, who suggested the challenge.
We will be swimming in honor of , Deb Ron, Talia Cohen and Wendy Landes, who all fought their battle against cancer with courage and dignity.
Cancer touches all our lives. I am now blessed to be cancer free for one year.
Recognizing that cancer may have touched your lives as well, this year I will write on my chest initials of anyone you request or carry in my wet suit any memento given to me.
Swim Across America raises money for many organizations. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the San Francisco Bay Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
Love to all.
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America, c/o Anthony DuComb, 1684 8th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94122 or directly to my office for forwarding (if easier).
Check should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
