San Francisco Bay Open Water Swim

Pure Imagination

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community to swim in memory of my beloved grandparents, Joanne Jamison Rowlett and Robert Wright Read, who raised me to be the strong-willed, passionate individual that I am today. My magnificent grandmother was an artist and activist who had colon cancer, esophogeal and brain cancer. My heroic grandfather was a saint of a human being who battled sarcoma and brain cancer at the end of his life. Every lap, training session, and morsel of energy invested to prepare for this event is done in their memory.

Please join me in the collective fight against cancer so that we may change the fate our loved ones who battle the disease in the future.

I am challenging myself to a 1.75 mile swim in the San Francisco Bay this September 22nd. I intend to raise $7,000. As no man is an island but a piece of the continent and part of the main, I need your help to accomplish this goal. Your support sponsoring this swim with a monetary contribution will be invested in cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.

Thank you for your generosity
