Seattle Open Water Swim

Team No Limits

TEAM NO LIMITS IS BACK in the water for our 8th consecutive year!  On September 10 we will swim to honor our teammate Gary Lagerloef, in whose honor we've swum since 2013.  We swim to celebrate great strides in cancer therapies.  We swim to boost funding for revolutionary cancer research.

GARY IS IN REMARKABLY GOOD SHAPE. His treatment at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance generally mirrors the major advances in cancer therapies, thanks to the latest medical research on the disease biology and the immune system. The pembrolizumab that Gary receives triggers his immune system to fight his cancer cells while keeping his healthy cells intact.

The results usually stabilize the condition so that there is no evidence of disease progression, and thus patients are realizing survival rates much greater and for longer duration than before these treatments were available.

Gary marvels that his new immunotherapy drug came out just when he needed it. Prior to this drug, the prognosis for someone with stage 4 melanoma was pretty grim.  He and we are thrilled with the results.

Please join us in raising $12,000, bringing Team No Limit's contribution to SCCA to nearly $130,000.  The Swim Across America Cellular Therapy Lab is directly supported by your contributions.

We are so grateful for your support,

Team No Limits
