On Sunday, I will be participating in the Swim Across America Boston Team Relay Challenge, a swimming event to raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment. I joined the Swim Across America community so that I can make a small difference in fighting a disease that affects so many people. And, more personally, I am doing this to honor my cousin, Zachary Shporer, who lost a brave battle with cancer at far too young an age. He inspires me every day, and I want to honor his memory by challenging myself to swim in the Boston Team Relay Challenge and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. I also have a dear friend and mentor in the swim community who has inspired me over the years, In particular over the last two years in her own personal fight against cancer. In honor of these two really extraordinary people, I ask for your support by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world.
