As most of you know I have been the Event Director of the Boston Swims for over twenty years. In that time I have had friends, family and relatives diagnosed with cancer. Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I happy to report that I am now cancer free.
Each of us has loved someone diagnosed with cancer, and we have seen family and friends battle its ravaging effects, I am one of the lucky ones and I'm hoping that friends, old and new, from near and far will join me and Team Kitty’s Kats to raise money for cancer research, treatment and prevention for those that have not been as fortunate.
As NIH and other government funds are harder and harder get, non-profits like Swim Across America are desperately needed to fill in the funding gaps. We need to and will, find a cure.
So please join Team Kitty’s Kats, volunteer, or donate and help us help Swim Across America find a cure. In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. SAA wants to change that. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
