Why do we swim? We swim for our dad and for our Aunt.
On May 13, 2016 after a 6 1/2 year battle, our dad passed away from cancer at the age of 48. Not a day goes by where we don't think of him - we love and miss him so much. Our dad was a fighter and he was fortunate enough to be able to have his treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering's MIRACLE pavilion at Mercy Medical Center - thanks in no small part to Swim Across America. We are proud to swim to raise money to support an organization that does so much to fight cancer.
On July 27, 2017 our Aunt Maureen passed away after a year long battle with cancer. Aunt Maureen packed a lot of fight and faith in a petite package and we swim to honor her memory because we love her so.
We hate cancer. It has taken way too much from us. We swim so other families won't have to go through what we have
