In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
This is a last minute event for me, and I wish I had more time to dedicate to fundraising. I would like to dedicate my swim to gentleman who was apart of my job, and also a inspiration. On June 4, 2017, the world and Marine Corps lost LtCol John Germain, Ret. He came off as a strickler when it came to the workplace, making sure everyone paid attention, took oppurtunities to learn, and he knew how to get things done. Despite facing terminal illness he still relentlessly showed up to work every day, dedicating time to the job he loved. John Germain also spent his life running Marathons and various other races, he participated in a marathon across all 50 states and about 111 total in his lifetime not including various other small races. This is a fear I can only dream to accomplish and best of all, he did a lot of them for a charity called Hope for Warriors. I can only strive to accomplish the things this man has done, and hope one day to have the mentality and work ethic.
