Swim Fort Lauderdale Masters is dedicating our Saturday, April 22nd practice to raise money that will fund clinical trials and cancer research to fight cancer.


WHAT: Every 15 minutes, 50 Americans are diagnosed with cancer. Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and we will dedicate our Saturday, April 22nd practice to finding a cure. We will swim the following sets and Coach Marty will set the intervals. You may swim any or all of the following.

  • 15 x 25s
  • 15 x 50s
  • 15 x 75s
  • 15 x 100s
  • 15 x 200s

WHEN: April 22nd, 2017. Check in is 1pm. We will swim at 2pm followed by a team picnic and check presentation.

WHERE: Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex

WHO CAN SWIM: Our practice is open to Fort Lauderdale Masters. If you have a family member or friend who would like to swim with you for this dedication practice, that is Ok.

HOW TO JOIN: Click the register button on the home tab of this page and get your own fundraising page to send out to your friends and family. All swimmers and volunteers must complete the waiver found here and bring to the event check-in. If you are under 18, please bring the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

FUNDRAISING: We encourage swimmers to each raise at least $100. Our team goal is to raise $10,000 to support cancer research and clinical trials.

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES: Every swimmer who participates will receive a Swim Across America cap and tattoos! Raise the amounts below and receive other SAA incentives for your efforts!

  • $100 - SAA T-Shirt.
  • $300 - Swim Clinic and video tape of your stroke.
  • $500 - SAA Towel + t-shirt + clinic.
  • $1000 - $50 Amazon gift card + t-shirt + clinic + towel.

SWIM CLINIC: Swim Across America CEO Rob Butcher will be joining us as a special guest. Rob competed in the 2000 USA Olympic Trials. He was CEO of U.S. Masters Swimming for eight years before becoming CEO of Swim Across America. Any participant who raises $300 can join Rob for a stroke clinic on the 22nd. Rob will capture video of you swimming a 25 and send it to you as part of the clinic.
