Please join us in supporting the Jayhawks as they Swim to Fight Cancer with Swim Across America. Everyone's life has been impacted by cancer which is why we're swimming to help "Make Waves to Fight Cancer" and raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.
Proceeds from the swim will support cancer research and patient care at our two local beneficiaries: UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program. In 2018 we gifted $650,000 to these programs.

WHAT: Head-Royce School and the Head-Royce Center for Community Engagement is pleased to partner with Swim Across America for a benefit swim on Sunday, March 31st from 9am - noon at the Head-Royce pool.
Please register your student swimmer here and help them reach out to family and friends for this all school fundraising campaign that will directly support cancer research and patient care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program and the Swim Across America Pediatric Cancer Research Lab in Oakland.
This collaboration supports the school’s Bridge to 2022 initiative to create more opportunities for community engagement between our students and local organizations and causes. This year, through Swim Across America, Head-Royce has connected to pediatric oncologists and cancer researchers from UCSF who will provide enriching presentations and classroom visits, as part of the school-wide effort to raise funds for pediatric cancer.
There is no amount too small to be able to join the pool festivities on March, 31st, but swimmers should be encouraged to conduct their best fundraising campaign knowing that their efforts, in combination with their fellow Jayhawk student swimmers, will make waves to fight cancer.
The pool event will be a celebration of our school’s ability to come together, make an impact and connect to a cause. Open to students K-12 and swimmers of all abilities. Floaties welcome. We will have pool noodle and flamingo floatie relay races, a water polo shootout competition and fun relays in Freestyle, Butterfly, Backstroke and Breast.
If you would like to participate in the fundraising campaign, but do not want to be a part of the swim, please consider volunteering.
