Why Support Us
On July 18, 2009, the Trinity College Swimming & Diving family will be participating in a 1-mile open water swim off of Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA. We are thrilled to be utilizing our passion for the sport of swimming to support such an extraordinary cause. We are focused on raising awareness for SAA and its mission to support Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Everyone on our team has been touched by cancer in some way, whether it is an immediate family member, a close friend or relatives and friends of people close to us. We hope our contributions to Swim Across America and its mission will in some way help to put an end to this horrific disease and honor those who have and are struggling with its devastation.
The Bantams are looking forward to the swim as a day of thanks for our own health, a day of honoring teamwork as a example of strength, and a day to honor the larger mission of Swim Across America.
We have worked closely with other teams in our conference (NESCAC) to join in the cause. It is an incredible day of camraderie for our conference and we hope to surpass the over $50,000 mark we made last year as a conference. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We thank you for your support and ask you to be as generous as you can. Together, we can all make a difference.

About Swim Across America
“Until there is a cure for cancer, there will always be a reason to swim all across America.” - Matt Vossler, Co-Founder, SAA
Swim Across America, Inc., [SAA] is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming- related events. With the help of hundreds of volunteers nationwide and past and current Olympians, SAA is helping find a cure for cancer through athleticism, community outreach and direct service. Founded in 1987, Swim Across America, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through a variety of high profile, swim-related events. Since inception SAA has raised over $20 million nationally for recognized beneficiaries.
