WAVEMAKERS "WMs" ARE SAA'S ELITE FUNDRAISERS

All SAA swimmers raise money to support the fight against cancer, but WaveMakers fight even harder by pledging to raise at least $1000 (Note: Some swims vary with this number. Check the details on your local event for verification).

HOW TO BECOME A WAVEMAKER

Any open water swimmer can sign up to be a WaveMaker during the registration process. Those that aren't sure they can make that committment so early on, still become WaveMakers if they hit the $1000 mark.

WAVEMAKER'S GET...

Aside from bragging rights, every WaveMaker swimmer is given this year's WaveMaker shirt, worn by all WMs across the US. WaveMakers will also have access to the exclude WaveMaker "village" at SAA events, and be "branded" with this year's WaveMaker tattoo.

"The feeling you get when you become a WaveMaker is not something I can describe easily...It's a feeling of knowing that you did everything you could, and you are among others that did the same."
- Jill Roethke
