Hope Has No Finish Line
Hi! This will be my 6th year participating in the SAA Atlanta event to be held on September 23rd and my 4th year swimming the 5k!
Since the beginning of my journey with Swim Across America, I have swum in support and remembrance of my dear teammate and friend, Grace Bunke, who passed from bone cancer in 2018. "Amazing Grace" Bunke made a huge impact on the SAA community, and the endless contributions that her and her family have made, and still do today, play an enormous part in the legacy that Grace has left since her time parted.
Childhood Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of children’s deaths in the US, but pediatric cancer research is still receiving less than 4% of government cancer funding annually. SAA has raised over $100 Million since 1987 for various oncology research programs across America, including funding 4 different leukemia and Osteosarcoma projects at Children Healthcare of Atlanta.
Please consider making a donation to my 2023 fund in honor of Grace and so many others who cannot be here today, and help us make waves to end cancer for good.
