Please support Aleah Zafft making waves to fight cancer
Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Aleah and I am 14 years old. I am SO excited to participate in this event again this year. This is my 7th year participating, and I will swim the 5K, again. I was also honored to be selected, for the 3rd year, to be a part of the SAA Jr. Advisory Board. My goal is to be one of the top fundraisers as a team Captain for Team Swim Atlanta. I hope to encourage young swimmers like myself to see that they can be a part of something HUGE for the community, no matter their age, by doing something they love.
Remember - every donation, big or small, is one step closer to finding a cure. Every penny counts! I will be starting my Mailbox Bow and Pasta fundraisers again soon - so get your holiday spirit and appetites ready to order!
I am swimming for those that can't. I am swimming for my Nana Ellie who was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I am swimming for our family friends, Jeremy Brown & Bernard Robertson, who both lost their battles from this horrible disease! I am swimming for Grace Bunke - a teammate - who 1 day before her 15th birthday- passed away from this disease. Please help me honor their memory by reaching my goal and raising money to help find a cure!
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the Atlanta Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support me by sponsoring my swim and making a gift. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure. Thank you for your generosity and may it lead to a cancer-free world!
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America, c/o Nancy Peek, PO Box 1078, Tucker, GA 30085.
Check should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
