In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can fight to improve these odds.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. This year I swim in honor of Charlotte Roland, a brave 7-year old girl who is fighting a medulloblastoma that presented as a stroke. Charlotte is not only recovering from a stroke, but is also going through a Phase II trial protocol determined to give her the very best chance to recover.
In advance, I thank you for your gift of dollars and/or prayers for Charlotte's recovery...and all of those fighting a similar battle.
As always, I will swim a 5K; however, on my own this year because of the pandemic. While it won't be the same, our impact will be the same, and is needed more than ever this year. My sincere thanks as we pull together to make waves to fight cancer. -jen.
