Welcome to Team Keren at SAA!
My WHY. Keren is a friend, a daughter, a sister, a neighbor, a swim coach, a swimmer, a writer, an artist, and a ray of sunshine. She is also a fierce warrior and a 2-time cancer fighter, resulting in a below-the-knee amputee for rhabomyosarcoma in 2018 and a partial scapulectomy (removal of half of her shoulder blade) for osteosarcoma in 2022. Keren is 15.
Please join me in supporting essential funding for cancer research. Join me in supporting Keren and all those who fight the good fight.
Last year, I swam in honor of Keren, as she was still recovering from her latest surgery and treatments. But this year, Keren is swimming too (!!!) - specifically, the 1/2 mile open water swim. I am honored to help her train and to swim alongside her on the day of the event.
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. The researchers we are funding are in our community - Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Cancer Center - and are the next generation of cancer pioneers. Without Swim Across America early stage funding, they are not able to conduct trials that can lead to breakthroughs that can save lives. Thank you for helping make an impact in the fight to find a cure!
