Atlanta Open Water Swim

Team Parker

“Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”

– Mattie Stepanek

As the Carrollton Bluefins, we work together as a team every day to get better at the sport we love most, swimming- our common cause. Through counting for each other on distance races, teaching the rookies how to read a heat sheet, and even the healthy competitions that have formed between the seniors, we work together to make both ourselves and our teammates improve in the water.

Continuing with our tradition, our team, with the support of our community, is uniting for a common cause- working toward a cure for cancer. All of us in some way have been impacted by this disease, so we know the pain that can be caused. As a result, we are proud to support CHOA and the AFLAC clinic in their research to find a cure. Our swim program is uniting as a team to support all the brave souls who are challenged with the disease, and those who have survived this. Our team got its moniker 'Team Parker' in honor of a member of our team, Parker Solberg, who is a patient of CHOA and is closely monitored due to a non-treated brain tumor.

If you would like to help us reach our goal, you can donate to an individual swimmer below, or can donate to our overall team

Thank you for your support in helping us reach our goal!

"We've got a cheer.

We've got a yell.

We've got a team the fights like Helen in a highchair...."

-The Carrollton Bluefins team cheer
