This year Emory Swimming and Diving and Atlanta Water Jocks are jointly participating in Swim Across America, an organization dedicated to providing funding for clinical cancer research to develop life saving treatments for current and new cancer patients, as well as cancer prevention and support. Our team is paired with Jude Hiley, a 13 year old osteosarcoma patient at CHOA (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta) who has had a novel procedure on his leg that has provided greater mobility than a traditional amputation. Read more about Jude's story at: https://www.choa.org/patients/patient-and-employee-stories/jude-story.
We are challenging ourselves by swimming in the Atlanta Open Water Swim and raising as much money as we can to fight cancer. Our goal is to raise at least $15,000. Please support us by sponsoring our swim and making a gift.
