It is another year that we get closer to finding more cures and saving our loved ones from cancer.
We continue to be proud of the great work of Swim Across America especially in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where Dr. BIll Nelson and his colleagues are curing friends and family members, and making important discoveries like the companion diagnostic test for the wonder drug PD1 (Merck's KEYTRUDA ) and the blood biopsy test. Your donations can make a difference in the fight against cancer in Baltimore and around the world. We are saving many lives as a result of the findings from our SAA Lab at Johns Hopkins and you helped!!
This will be my 31st swim for SAA- I never had any idea when I started swimming with SAA in 1999, how invaluable my association with this national organization and their beneficiaries would be- it was integral to the care and the first successful outcome for my wife, Ellen. While Ellen lost the battle in 2014, we continue to swim in her memory and so many others who continue to fight or have lost the battle. May we downgrade cancer to a chronic disease!
I again swim in honor of ELLEN, as well as for my friends, Fran Ober who has survived breast cancer. Lets stop our friends and family from dying from cancer.
Will you please join us in supporting the great work at Johns Hopkins and honor our heroes?
You may also call me at 410-935-9334 with questions or email me at John@swimacrossamerica.org. We are recruiting swimmers and hope you will consider swimming or volunteering this YEAR.
With much gratitude,
