Dear Friends,
I am very happy to be part of SAA- Baltimore again this year. I hope you can support my swim through a donation! Truly any amount is totally fine!
It's harder than ever for medical researchers to raise money, and most of the grants they get are for "sure bets." With the roughly $500,000 that SAA has contributed to the lab per year since the start of the event, the SAA Baltimore lab has been able to pursue some cutting edge research. They have made significant discoveries in cancer diagnosis and testing for therapies that are saving lives; particularly with cervical,m colon and pancreatic cancers. This brought home the lab's work to me, as my father died of pancreatic cancer.
The event is back at High Tide Farm next to Gibson Island again this year. I will be serving as an "angel" swimmer, helping a new open water swimmer to get around the course.
You can make a credit card donation here- see "Donate" button to upper right, or if you prefer send a check- write my name in the memo, and make it payable to Swim Across America Inc. See the instructions below for mailing address
Thank you for your consideration!
