For those who do not know I have been participating in Swim Across America - Baltimore since 2013. It is something I look forward to every year because it involves my love for swimming! SAA - Baltimore raises money for the Swim Across America Lab at Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Unfortunately, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. These people include both my parents, two aunts, one uncle, and multiple family friends. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that. I am challenging myself by swimming in the 3 mile Baltimore Open Water Swim and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can.
