In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the SAA community so that, together, we can change that.
Unfortunately, cancer offered an overwhelming impact on my family. My Uncle Bernie O'Neil was diagnosed with brain cancer 5 years ago. My Mom, Mariann, continues to receive treatment for Nodular Melanoma. My nephew, Nathan DeRoche was diagnosed with Lymphoma in November 2016.
My Mom and Nathan continue their recovery while receiving loving care from family and friends. My Uncle Bernie passed away after a long courageous battle.
I am honored to swim in support of my Mom and Nathan and in the memory of my Uncle Bernie.
I am challenging myself by swimming the Boston, Long Island Sound and San Francisco Open Water Swims and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. Please support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Mass General Hospital for Children Cancer Center by sponsoring our Team Festivus MWE swim. Your generous donation will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.
Thank you for your generosity.
May it one day offer us a cancer-free world!
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America - Boston, c/o Jamie Mannion, PO Box 206, 300 Broadway Lbby, Revere, MA 02151
Checks should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
