Welcome to My Personal Page
In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that. The first Swim Across America I participated in was in 2008. Little did I know that 8 years later that I would be diagnosed with cancer. As a result of treatments developed during research, I am able to continue to swim and bike and run. And this year I have a reason to celebrate: It's been six years since I completed radiation and chemotherapy and am now considered cancer free!
If you are able, please support me by making a gift. Proceeds from the swim will support quality-of-life clinical research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and pediatric oncology research at Mass General Hospital of Children Cancer Center.
You can make a credit card donation here, or send a check to Swim Across America - Boston, c/o Jamie Mannion, PO Box 206, 300 Broadway Lbby, Revere, MA 02151.
Check should be made out to Swim Across America but please include a note mentioning my name as the swimmer you are supporting!
