Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues and any Stranger who sees this call,
For the second consecutive year I am swimming with Swim Across America (SAA) community to raise much needed funding for early stage cancer research and clinical trial. Due to the sharp decrease in available resources, without support like this, our doctors and researchers would not be able to conduct trials that could potentially lead to breakthroughs and cure that can save lives.
In 2018 the Boston Team Relay Challenge raised more than $110,000 that helped research conducted by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Hospital for Children Cancer Center
I joined SAA so that, together, we can change the course of losing anyone to cancer. This year again, I am challenging myself by swimming and raising as much money to fight cancer as I can. I will do the swimming but what I would like to kindly ask from you is to support this cause by sponsoring my swim and donating any amount you feel fit. The money you give will go towards cancer research, prevention and treatment and will make an impact in the fight to find a cure.
Last year I swam on behalf of my grandfather – another avid swimmer - who lost his life to cancer. This year I will swim for all of those I knew personally or through a friend, a colleague who lost that battle. The number is too high to count, but this is my way of making sure we take another step towards prevention and cure.
The challenge is on the 28th of April and I promise to do my best to swim the distance. If you would like me to honor anyone in person by putting their names up on the board, please do let me know. It would make my swim all the more meaningful.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
