On April 29th, I will be joining club swimmers, college swimmers, masters swimmers, and recreational swimmers for a two hour relay challenge for Team Dana-Farber. Each team will be striving to swim the farthest and raise the most to find a cure for cancer.
The event will benefit the Perini Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Hospital for Children Cancer Center.
Thanks to remarkable research and treatment advances, many of which were pioneered at Dana-Farber, more than 80 percent of children diagnosed with cancer will survive. However, for many survivors and families, the challenges of a cancer diagnosis do not stop after treatment. Many face physical, emotional, and psychological challenges.
Your support will allow the Perini Family Survivors Center at Dana-Farber to help patients and survivors cope with the many effects of cancer treatment.
Thank you for any generous contribution! I promise to swim as fast and as far as possible for these children and their families. :-)
