Hi everybody I know (and maybe don't know):
I plan to plunge the Boston Harbor swim portion of Swim Across America on July 12th for cancer research and I am asking for a donation. While I have never had cancer, the odds are mounting with time and we all know so many that have had it. My mother, Priscilla performed cancer research in the late 1940's. She died of it in the 1990's. Guess what, it is still not cured 25 years later. My father-in law, Bob, died of cancer. My brother-in-law Don, and his Drs. at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston are fighting this affliction for his life; right now. Please add a little to cancer research while I swim across Boston Harbor for the cause. It is time to end this problem of life.
The swim is a 22 mile relay so I am not in the water the whole distance. I swam Lake Gardener (Amesbury) on June 1, a distance of 1.2 miles in 39 minutes, so I am told I can do this relay. I will donate $100 to myself as proof of intent. I am on team "Chum" ; and lets hope those Cape Cod great white sharks don't hear of this feast. Ask for a refund if I become the chum(p). Any size donation would be appreciated. I just retired so I need to stay in shape and do some good.
