Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

I first learned about Swim Across America during my years of working as a lifeguard at Nantasket beach. We had the opportunity to lifeguard the event and make sure everyone completed their swim safely. Participating in this event was truly a moving experience. Seeing the amount of people who showed up to support the cause because cancer had touched their life in some way, was extremely impactful and is something that has stuck with me over the years. After this experience I knew this swim was something that I wanted to participate in one day. 
I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. I am dedicating this swim to all those around me who have been touched by cancer.
