2022 Boston Open Water Swim

CRM-Charles River Masters

Charles River Masters has been a proud participant in the SAA Boston pool and open water events for over 15 years. Each year we recruit swimmers, volunteers, friends and family to help raise funds to support cancer research and prevention. While we're taking one more year off from the pool relay swim for spring 2022 since covid has still limited access to Blodgett, we're a "go" for our annual open water event later this summer.

On August 6, we'll be offering 1/2 mile, 1 mile, and 2 mile swims as well as a kids splash at Castle Island at Pleasure Bay - the new venue for our Boston event!

We participate as a team because a group makes a bigger splash than as separate individuals. We participate to recognize the coaches, teammates, and other athletes who have made an impression on us throughout our years of training. We participate in memory of friends and family who lost their battle with cancer before the medical advances of today. We participate to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, to be inspired by amazing stories, and to do something we love. We participate to honor today's "cancer survivors" and the belief that the world will be a better place with more of them.

We look forward to these annual SAA events and are honored to do our part to help make a difference, especially this year!
