Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. 

I know everyone it touched by cancer with either a family member or someone you know. As many of you know, my brother-in-law passed away earlier this year.  He was diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer on February 2, 2022. Leif was one of the most optimistic people I have had the pleasure of knowing. During his treatment over the 13 months, he lived by the mantra of positive vibes only (PVO) and it played out in his life and all the people around him.

I am swimming in memory of Leif Egon Hansen as well all of the people affected by this terrible disease. My goal is to complete 2 miles during the Swim Across America event on October 8th, 2023.
