Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care. 

Like many of you, I have family and friends who have battled cancer.  This disease has effected us all one way or another.  The advances in treating and beating this disease have saved countless lives over time but there is still so much more research and breakthroughs needed to conquer this cruel disease.

My Swim Coach, Patty Waldron, is so passionate about Swim Across America and her passion is contagious.  Our Team is called MSA Team Out of My Box and we are the largest fund raiser in the Charlotte Region and currently 5th in the country.
