My name is Maggie Moore and this year will be my third consecutive year participating in Swim Across America! SAA is extremely important to me because it gives me the chance to honor my grandmother and help our community. My grandmother, Reen Moore (better known as Memommy to me) passed away from cancer in February of 2021. For all of the amazing years I knew her and prior she did everything she could to give back to others. My Memommy was a truly outstanding person who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her kindness and compassion for others inspires me everyday and pushes me to be the best version of myself. She made this world a brighter place and thanks to her I want to step up and continue to do the same. I know if she could have taken part in SAA she would have, and I do it to continue giving back in the same way she did.
