Welcome to My Personal Page
This year I will join my friend Bill McCormick in Swim Across America. This cause is near to my heart because in 2006 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. The doctors assured me that it was caught very early but it was very stubborn and took two bouts of radiation and 4 rounds of chemotherapy to rid my body of the cancer. The treatments lasted the better part of two years and my family will always be grateful for the support we received from our family and friends. I have been cancer-free for 16 years. During this time I have had friends and family whose lives have been touched by this horrible disease and I want to swim for them. It is important to bring awareness to the different types of cancer and their signs and symptoms because early detection is the best chance of survival. If I raise the $500 I will commit to swimming the 2 miles. It may take me two days but I will finish.
