Did you know that cancer affects millions of lives worldwide? Shockingly, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This alarming truth fuels our determination to take action. As proud members of the Swim Across America (SAA) community, SafeSplash + SwimLabs - Fort Mill, we are participating in the Charlotte Open Water Swim to raise funds and combat cancer.
Within our staff, we have personal connections to cancer that drive our commitment to this cause. One of our team members shares the story of their grandfather's battle with bladder cancer, enduring treatments and displaying immense resilience. Another team member bravely faced breast cancer at a young age, defying initial skepticism and celebrating 46 years in remission. And we remember a dear friend named Claudia, whose unwavering spirit and determination inspired those around her as she fought lung cancer and later faced the devastating news of its spread to her brain. These personal stories remind us of the impact of cancer on individuals and their loved ones.
Our team has set a fundraising goal of $1,000 because we firmly believe that no one should face cancer alone. The devastating impact of cancer is undeniable, affecting millions of lives each year. That's why we proudly stand with Swim Across America and its extraordinary mission. We invite you to stand with us by making a donation that directly impacts the lives of local cancer patients and their families. Every contribution fuels vital research, offering hope to those navigating the challenging journey of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
