It is that time of the year!!  Yes, you all know it’s Swim Across America.  The team is assembled and we are ready to tackle the waters of Lake Michigan to kick cancers butt!  As you all know this is a charity swim is a tradition for Kelly and I.  The tradition started in the early 1990s swimming beach to beach raising money for cancer research.  We continue to swim because we continue to be part of the world of cancer.

I write this a year to date after a dear friends mom passed away due to cancer.  And I am surrounded by friends who continue to battle.  CANCER SUCKS!

I spend the training hours thinking and praying for my family members and friends who have lost their fight and those that continue to fight ever day.  

In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.
