In our lifetime, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer. I joined the Swim Across America community so that, together, we can change that.  Just last year my dear friend Marcie passed from Cancer.  Recently, her daughter gave birth to a baby girl 'Maddie'.  Sadly, Marcie will never hold her darling grandaughter.  She wanted so badly to LIVE!  I miss her so much and will be swimming this year in her memory.
